I’m Amanda. Friends call me Mandi. I’m 26 and married. I’m currently living outside Nashville, Tennessee but I was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and am forever a Yankee at heart. I live in a cozy little apartment with my husband, dog, cat, and two ferrets.
I work as a computer programmer/analyst and do some freelance web design to pay for my fiber-addiction.
I started knitting in November of 2006 but I didn’t begin “seriously” knitting until the next year. It’s quickly become an addiction. It’s extremely rare to see me without needles in my hands! I have yet to knit my first sweater but I recently conquered sock-knitting, which was an achievement I’m pretty proud of!
I’m also in the process of learning to spin. I recently purchased my first wheel, an Ashford Kiwi, and I’m looking forward to spending lots of time learning to create beautiful hand-spun yarns.
I occasionally dabble in other crafty things too — mostly sewing, scrapbooking and occasional card-making. I grew up in a very artistic, crafty family and I guess I was lucky enough to have some of that talent rub off on me!
