Lorna’s Laces and Special Delivery from Germany 3 comments
It’s so hard to believe that it’s already July. Being that it’s the first of the month though, you know what that means…
Yup, it’s time for Jimmy Bean’s Wool to put up the new limited edition Lorna’s Laces color for the month! I already ordered 2 skeins of the July 2008 color, “Fireworks”, in this morning.
I’m such a sucker for those limited edition colors. I have 2 skeins of Shepherd Sock in every color since January this year. (You can see all the limited edition colors here.) Have I knit a single darn skein of it yet? No… I know, I’m bad. But it’s all so pretty! And Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock is really lovely yarn.
AND a very special delivery arrived today, all the way from the Wollmeise herself, Claudia, in Germany…
The four skeins on the left (2 Sonne, Dornröschen and Red Hot Chili) are ones I’m keeping. (I think Sonne will be a shawl!) The four skeins on the right (Campari Orange, Indisch Rot, Birkenrinde and Vincent are gifts for my mom. I’m working on (hopefully) planning a trip home, and I can’t wait to give them to her!

Is it expensive to ship from Germany?
It really is a good thing I have no extra $ for yarn. Those look sooo nice.
